Novice Men

Cardiff University Rowing Club Novice Men's squad is designed to teach beginners all about rowing, and equip you with the skills and fitness you'll need in order to progress into the Senior Men's squad. The club has a long history of taking athletes completely new to the sport, and turning them into competent and successful rowers.

Joining the novice men's squad is an excellent way to get fit, meet new friends and also compete at a high level against other clubs and in BUC's events throughout the year.

The previous novice year (2010-2011) has been incredibly successful, collecting numerous medals throughout the year, and reaching the final in BUC's regatta. Many of the new novice's have progressed into the senior squad early, and even competed at Henley Royal Regatta 2011.

We are having a huge recruitment drive at the Fresher's Fair 2011 this year - you need no previous rowing experience! So come along and sign up!

If you would like any more information about the novice men's squad, then don't hesitate to e-mail me (see below).

I look forward to hearing from you,

Emma Fitzpatrick
